One of the fabulous Design Team members we have on Just Add Ink is Sarah Klass - a stamper I have always admired. Her work is so stunning and I hope I can be a good as she is one day! We had a sketch challenge this week on Just Add Ink, and Sarah made the most adorable baby card that I just had to case.
I wanted to complete a series of cards in different colours using elements of Sarah's design, and because I wanted to make a few, I decided to emboss some parts of the design rather than cutting them out and raising them with dimensionals. So they're much simpler than Sarah's gorgeous card, but I'm happy with them. I'd love to know what you think!
Materials:
Stamp Sets - Animal Stories, Short and Sweet
Cardstock - Kraft, Whisper White
Inks - Whisper White Craft, and because SU! Australia currently doesn't sell coloured craft inks (good for embossing) I used VersaMagic inks in Pink Petunia, Aegean Blue and Turquoise Gem
Accessories - co-ordinating ribbons from my stash, clear embossing powder, heat tool

These are so cute Danielle. Sometimes we crafters have a tendency to over embellish (I know I do) so I have to remind myself - KISS. Keep it simple stupid! Which you have done very nicely here. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely Danielle. I love the look with the embossing... I am hoping my new Heat embossing tool will arrive today! I particularly love your pink elephants card. The kraft and pink go so well together. Great case!
ReplyDeleteI think they are adorable Danielle. I love the embossing detail...it really adds something extra to the design.
