Olivia had her fourth birthday recently - I can't believe she's 4!! I've been playing with a few snaps I took on the day... I'm a complete beginner with Photoshop, but I thought I'd share a few here. :-)
I even made myself a new watermark. *grin* Check out this fabulous tutorial at The CoffeeShop Blog to see how to do it.
And a new obsession begins... ;-)

An Ode From A Dark Time...
I've been pretty absent from my blog lately, for a few different reasons. One reason was because hubby and I were busily preparing our downstairs living area and backyard for Olivia's 4th birthday party on the 25th. We had a lot of boxes still to go through, and a lot of the boxes contained random things from over the past 4 years. Because that time has been rather turbulent, I've avoided going through the boxes. There are journals that I've written in when I was at my sickest (with PND) and naturally, they're not exactly light reading!
So when hubby came upstairs with a notebook in hand and said "I found this notebook from before... I think you need to read this entry...", I stopped what I was doing to give it my full attention. He seemed very serious.
I was expecting something dark and confronting...
But I'd forgotten about this entry that I'd written one night as... well, you'll see... ;-)
Not as dark and confronting as I thought it was going to be... ;-)

Sugar Addicts Showcase... :-)
Hi there! I just wanted to share with you all that I'm being featured on the Sugar Nellie blog today! I'm absolutely thrilled!
I created these cards for my daughter's fourth birthday invitations (she turns 4 next week). I just love this image (it's called Upside Down and is designed by Diane Duda) because it's so joyful - how could I not use it??
And here's the lot of them together. :-)
I used my new Papertrey Ink Polka Dots Impression Plate with Stampin' Up! Taken With Teal craft ink to create the letterpress pattern on the lower half of the card. I love the effect!
Thanks so much for visiting, and thanks so much to Elaine from Sugar Nellie for showcasing me! :-)
I'm also going to enter this in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is to create a card for a child... hopefully invitations qualify!!
Stamp sets - Sugar Nellie - Upside Down (by Diane Duda)
Cardstock - Watercolour paper, Naturals Ivory
Inks - Versamark, Blush Blossom, Bermuda Bay, Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Riding Hood Red, Creamy Caramel, Taken With Teal craft
Accessories - Black embossing powder, heat tool, Aqua painter, Big Shot, Nestabilities, PTI Polka Dot IP, sponge daubers
Olivia's Challenge Entry!
When I watercolour, my (almost) 4 year old daughter, Olivia, likes to watercolour too. So we both sit at the dining room table with our water brushes and palettes - it's very sweet! So this is her latest work, which I'm entering into the Simon Says Stamp Special Children's Challenge, which is for kids between 2 and 16 to enter. Fabulous idea, isn't it?
Olivia has used a Diane Duda Sugar Nellie stamp called Pure of Heart. My favourite parts are the tree in the background and the rain cloud. :-)

CAS Embosslit Cards
I thought I'd share some photos of my second project for Ustamp Bigshot Brilliance. It's a set of CAS (Clean And Simple) cards using the Stampin' Up! Embosslits. And it was also the hostess gift for my most recent hostess. :-)
And here's another photo with the cute folder I made to hold the set.

When I was playing with my Derwent Inktense Pencils, I coloured a couple of different prams at the same time. I was really pleased with how my previous card turned out, so I used the same layout for this one. The colours are taken from the current Play Date Cafe Challenge - PDCC75 and the current Jay Gee's Nook Challenge.
Thanks for visiting! :-)
