It Seemed So Simple...

Well, this challenge nearly had me beat.  All I had to do was add a reference to music.  And I thought I'd hit the jackpot with a new ribbon I'd just bought.  But I didn't realise just how incompatible this ribbon and I would be.  You see, it's... Aqua. 

I know, I know... Aqua is a lovely colour.  It's calm, it's serene, it's gorgeous in satin... But we just have too many differences.  Many a time I've been seduced by this luscious colour, but it always ends badly. 

It's not the finished product that's the problem, it's the process.  I'm quite pleased with the card itself.  But that ribbon... it mocks me.  It knows that it was the reason this card took three days to come together.

This ribbon knows that it is the reason that all my previously unmounted stamps are now mounted, all my pencils are sharpened, and I've watched an entire series of The Good Wife just trying to make it through this ordeal. 

It is the reason that I simply couldn't resist using a sentiment inappropriately to create a pun.

So it is with great sadness that I must announce that Aqua and I are parting ways.  We're just no good for each other.  *sniff*
