A Big Bunch Of Love - AC155

I stamped Lil Bee's Big Flowers onto some Kraft cardstock and coloured it with Prismacolor Colored Pencils.  I deviated slightly by raising the circle in the sketch a tiny bit, having the flowers over the edge.

My first project for today uses the new set, Designer Flowers.

I kept with a CAS approach for this card set, using embossing and colour choice to let the images pop.  First up is white and black embossing on a red base...

Then black embossing on a white base.  I raised the panel up on some red cardstock to keep with my colour selection.  I'm entering this one in the Addicted to CAS Embossing Challenge.  :-)

And lastly, black and red embossing on a white base, this time using black card to mat my panel.

I really love how this simple set turned out!

Colourful Hearts - AC154

Hi!  It's a colour challenge at the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog today.

I've gone with another CAS card.  I repeatedly stamped a heart from Love Birds using pigment inks and clear embossed them, and black embossed a sentiment from Fanciful Flowers.

I'm also entering this in the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #10.

It's A Birthday Hip Hop!

I'm sharing the inspiration project I made for Unity (it was also posted on the Unity blog earlier). I was flipping through Australian Stamping, Cardmaking & Papercraft Magazine recently, when I came across a gorgeous Unity feature by Australian cardmaker Edna Morrisedie...

How beautiful are those cards? I'd been meaning to try colouring an image over a text page for a while, and these beauties gave me another nudge.

Edna's beautiful cards are Phyllis Harris stamps coloured over some dictionary pages. I didn't have any pages like that, so I decided to try colouring directly onto some MME patterned paper with my Prismacolor pencils. I used Face the Sunshine, also by Phyllis Harris.

*sigh*  Gotta love Phyllis Harris stamps!

It's a bit more subtle, but I still love it! I'll definitely have a go at this technique again!
